The Resident Employment Program supports Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) residents by connecting them to workforce training, employment opportunities, and career-readiness services.
This includes resume assistance, interview preparation, and access to specialized training programs.

The Resident Employment Program offers:

• Resume creation or updates

• Interview skills coaching

• Job search assistance

• Referrals to employers and training partners

Walk-ins may also be available during CyberBus 2.0 site visits.

Yes. Most Resident Employment programs — including Driver’s Education and Section 3 hiring opportunities — are reserved for current HACP residents.

This program prepares HACP residents for entry-level careers as Pharmacy Technicians through classroom training, certifications, and practical experience with CVS Health.

To participate, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old

• Have a high school diploma or GED

• Be able to pass a background check

• Be able to pass a drug test

While employment is not guaranteed, successful graduates are strongly considered for open Pharmacy Technician positions with CVS Health and partner agencies.

To enroll, you must:

• Be a current HACP resident

• Be 19 years old or older

• Already have your Pennsylvania Learner’s Permit

Participants receive behind-the-wheel training, safety instruction, and support in preparing for the Pennsylvania driver’s test.

All Resident Employment programs are free to eligible HACP residents.

Programs may take place at partner facilities, HACP sites, or directly on CyberBus 2.0, depending on the service.
